TIA is a mobile app for travellers using Tribhuvan International Airport. A live dashboard shows Kathmandu weather with artwork that changes from morning to night next to the upcoming flights, and the app brings flight lists, forex rates, airport charges, services, a location map and the customs declaration guide into one place.
The challenge
Airport information is spread across notice boards, calls and websites. Travellers need current flights, charges and rules on a phone, in a layout that is quick to read while moving through a terminal.
The approach
Everything a traveller needs is one tap from the home screen: arrivals and departures with live status, exchange rates, airport charges and services, the customs guide, notices and a lost and found desk. The dashboard greets people with Kathmandu weather in artwork that matches the time of day, the map helps them find their way around, and the app stays usable on weak airport networks. Update prompts keep everyone on the latest version.
