Geofenced timesheets for workers in the field.
Optix is a timesheet app for field workers. Workers clock in and out, record breaks and request paid time off, and the app only allows clocking in or out inside the geofenced work site. They can see their full history and logs, what they have earned and how many hours are left until their next day off.
The challenge
Paper timesheets and honour-system clock-ins make field hours hard to trust. Supervisors cannot be at every site, and workers often do not know how many hours they have logged or what they have earned.
The approach
Clock in and clock out are tied to geofences around each work site, so the app blocks check-ins from outside the allowed area and shows the worker why. Breaks are recorded separately so paid time stays accurate. Every shift, break and location event is kept in a history log, and a summary shows earnings and the hours remaining until the next day off. Workers can also request and track paid time off, and use the app in their preferred language.
The result
Timesheets reflect real hours at real locations, payroll needs less manual checking, and workers can see their own hours, earnings and time off at any moment.
